On Monday September 8th, ARI had the pleasure of being an invited guest to the Murraylands Food Alliance Group meeting, held at Rivapak in Mannum.
An industry led Alliance, with the focus on creating sustainable and globally competitive operations. This focus being driven through members supporting each other’s businesses to innovate and look for ways to improve profitability in an open and transparent dialogue.
The Regional Development Board- Murraylands and Riverland who also form part of the Alliance, invited ARI to come and provide an overview of the University of Adelaide’s research strengths, together with some wonderful case studies of Research Projects that have resulted in a positive uplift for business and industry sectors. In addition, ARI covered off the different ways Organisations interested in either diversifying their business operations, or simply looking for expertise in solving a problem, can look to the various Universities within South Australia, to collaborate.
It was an honor to be asked and a great initiative for the region. One which other regions should be looking towards as a great example of industry partnering and collaborating for success. Thanks to Gordon McKerlie for the tour of the amazing Rivapak facilities and the Alliance for allowing us to attend.
